Disaster Support & Preparedness VetCV Teaming Partner

VetCV is proud to announce our partnership with the Support Alliance for Emergency Readiness of Santa Rosa County (SAFER) in their mission to help those in need in Northwest Florida.

SAFER works to manage vital services during a disaster, ensuring their delivery is streamlined and efficient. Their goal is to create a resilient community through cooperation during the preparation, response, recovery, and mitigation phases of a disaster.

SAFER is a 501 (3) non-profit organization that works closely with Federal, State, and County Emergency Management Agencies. They offer a variety of volunteering and training opportunities with certifications accepted by FEMA and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and we think the VetCV community can help with our particular sets of skills.

SAFER understands that disasters generally begin, end, and are managed locally. That's why their mission resonates with VetCV, because we know that self-reliance and integrity are at the core of our veteran community. Part of SAFER's mission is to make certain that emergency resources are distributed fairly and are not duplicated. This commitment to fairness and efficiency is why we trust SAFER as a Teaming Partner, which is why we're excited to share their opportunities and services with you.

SAFER's certification programs offer training in case management, counseling, mental health first aid and crisis intervention, recordkeeping and administration, and much more. They also have opportunities for contractors and laborers to volunteer their time and expertise to help get families and the community back on their feet.
