A VetCV Top Patriot Teaming Partner!
Meet Banyan Treatment Centers, a VetCV Healthcare Teaming Partner specializing in mental health, addiction treatment, and detox services. They have world-class facilities located in California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Texas, and Pennsylvania with bespoke treatment programs designed for Active Duty Service Members, Veterans, and their families.
As a Patriot Healthcare Teaming Partner, the team at Banyan Treatment Centers understands the unique needs of Military and Veterans and their families. Their team has played an invaluable role as subject matter experts and providing services to VetCV community members, and VetCV is proud to support and partner with this outstanding organization.
The banyan tree is one of the most beautiful and iconic trees in the South Florida landscape, and it provides a great metaphor for Banyan Treatment Centers’ philosophy toward treatment and community. Without support from other trees, the banyan tree becomes exposed and weak, never reaching its full potential. However, with the help of the trees around it, the banyan tree can thrive for hundreds of years. Similarly, the Banyan team believes that using the strength of those around us allows us to grow stronger ourselves. It’s these principles of collaboration and support that inform their therapeutic methods and treatment plans so that they empower patients to make meaningful changes in their own lives, as well as the lives of those around them.
The trust that has been forged between TeamVetCV and the team at Banyan is based on our shared mission of helping people in their time of need. Joanne “Jojo” Devine, who leads the National Military & Veterans business development initiatives for Banyan, and VetCV CEO Niels Andersen have worked together on several charity fundraising projects over the years and have also had a few late-night calls working together getting a Veteran in crisis the immediate help they needed.
The Banyan team understands that substance abuse is a growing problem among Veterans in the US. Many military members suffer from physical injuries and mental health problems when they return from deployment. Although combat today may be different than it was 50+ years ago during World War II and the Vietnam War, The Global War on Terror has left its own strain of trauma and emotional toll on American Service Members, Veterans, and their families. Prescription drug abuse is on the rise among veterans because many are treated with addictive narcotic pain medications for injuries incurred during their service. After extended use, veterans may become dependent on these drugs and, eventually, an addiction can develop. Banyan’s Military & Veterans in Recovery program is designed specifically to address these unique challenges faced by Active Duty Service Members, Veterans, and their families.
